Acupuncture that creates balance, relief and well-being
Professional acupuncture performed in a calm environment
If you experience tension, pain or imbalance in your body, acupuncture may be a solution for you.
At Slowmotion you can get acupuncture as a natural and effective form of treatment for both physical and mental imbalances. The treatment can be used for many purposes – from pain relief and stress to support during pregnancy, weight loss or smoking cessation.
With us, the treatment is carried out by experienced and certified therapists who create a safe environment and adapt each session to your needs.
We are located at Islands Brygge, also known as Bryggen, in Copenhagen – and are happy to help you with treatments that create balance and support the body’s natural healing.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese treatment that has been used for more than 2000 years to restore balance in the body.
The treatment is performed with very thin needles, which are placed at selected points on the body – the so-called meridians – where the flow of energy (Qi) is affected. By stimulating these points, acupuncture can promote the body’s natural healing process, reduce pain and create physical and mental peace.
We can also combine classical acupuncture with modern methods such as trigger acupuncture and ear acupuncture, depending on what best suits your problem.
How does acupuncture work?
When the needles are placed correctly, they trigger a number of physiological reactions in the body: blood circulation increases, muscles relax, and the body’s own pain-relieving substances are released.
Acupuncture thus has both a local and a systemic effect – it relieves symptoms, but also affects the underlying causes.
For some, the effect is felt after the first treatment, while others experience gradual improvements over several sessions. The treatment is almost painless and takes place in a calm environment, so you can completely relax.
What is acupuncture good for?
Acupuncture is used to treat a wide range of physical and mental conditions, and is ideal for those who suffer from:
- Migraines and headaches
- Pain in the neck, back and shoulders
- Stress, sleep problems and fatigue
- Digestive problems
- Allergy and sinus problems
- Menstrual pain and discomfort during menopause
- Smoking cessation and weight loss
Acupuncture treatment is a gentle but effective method that can be used both alone and in combination with other treatments such as massage, ear acupuncture and laser therapy.

We reduce stress and promote relaxation
At Slowmotion we offer nada treatment and ear acupuncture, which are used to create calm, stability and balance in the body.
The Nada method is a special form of ear acupuncture that was originally developed to treat addiction and stress, but today is also used for general relaxation and mental balance.
This form of treatment is particularly effective for sleep problems, restlessness, anxiety, withdrawal or stress, and it can be combined with classic acupuncture for even better results.
Effective treatment for pregnancy, weight loss and imbalance
Acupuncture can be used as a natural support for pregnant women, where it can relieve nausea, fatigue, fluid retention and tension in the back and pelvis. It can also help the body find peace in preparation for birth.
When losing weight, acupuncture can support the body’s metabolism, curb sugar cravings and increase energy levels, making it easier for you to stick to a healthy lifestyle.
The treatment can be advantageously combined with a course with our nutritionist, a personal trainer or with help with weight loss for a more holistic approach.
