Pilates reformer: effective workout for the whole body
Strength, control and balance on the reformer machine
Would you like to have a stronger, more flexible and toned body? At Slowmotion we offer Pilates reformer – a versatile form of training where you train on a reformer machine that challenges the body in a controlled and gentle way. You will receive professional instruction in groups with a focus on quality, technique and progression.
Reformer training is suitable for both beginners and advanced users, and you don’t need any experience to get started. However, it is important that you make the instructor aware of any injuries or if you are pregnant, as extra care must be taken during the exercises.
You will find us at Islands Brygge in Copenhagen, where we look forward to welcoming you to our team.
What is reformer pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a modern form of exercise that builds on the classic Pilates principles, but is performed on a special reformer machine. The machine consists of a movable surface with springs, straps and resistance, which allows you to train the whole body through dynamic and controlled movements.
The reformer supports the body, allowing you to work on strength, stability and flexibility without overloading joints and muscles. The workout improves posture, increases core strength and provides better balance – both physically and mentally.
The exercises can be adapted to your level, so you get a safe and effective workout with maximum benefit.
What is the difference between reformer and pilates?
Classic Pilates training is typically performed on a mat with your own body weight, while Pilates reformer uses the machine as a tool to create resistance and support.
The reformer allows for many more exercises and variations, and it makes it easier to work specifically with specific muscle groups.
In short: reformer training is more dynamic and intensive, but still gentle on the body. This makes it particularly suitable for those who want to achieve faster results or need support in their training – for example after an injury or during pregnancy.

The ideal form of exercise for beginners and pregnant women
Our reformer pilates classes at Bryggen are quiet and calm, so you get good guidance and support throughout the class.
The workout is ideal for beginners, as the machine helps you perform the exercises correctly and safely. At the same time, it is effective for advanced users who want a more intense and challenging workout.
Pregnant women can also participate in reformer training, as the exercises can be adapted to strengthen the back, pelvic floor, and core muscles in a gentle and controlled manner.
You gain strength, stability and better body awareness – all with a focus on correct technique and breathing.
